The Botanical Garden of Quinta Splendida has an area of 30.000 m2 and its current design was created in 1990, following the guidelines of its owner, Mr. Giancarlo Bertoli.

The Garden holds more than 1000 plant species and flowers from which over 650 are labelled. The cared interpretation of the gardens' design ensures continuous blooming all year round. A wide range of species, as well as plants endemic to Madeira, grow naturally in a promiscuous environment.
